Abel was a genius mage who wielded immense power in a world where the color of your eyes indicated how powerful you were. The power emanating from his amber eyes was so great that even his comrades looked at him with fear and contempt. He worked with the other heroes to defeat the Demon Lord of the Dusk. After conquering the demon territory, the other heroes wanted to kill Lilith, the daughter of the demon lord, but Abel saved her instead.
The two then traveled together for several weeks while Abel searched for a place where she could live safely. During their journey, Abel taught Lilith magic and human rules, among other things.
At some point after the battle, he was asked to leave the hero team because he was considered useless in peacetime due to his amber eyes, and he was threatened with persecution. He then decided to use <reincarnation> to reincarnate 200 years in the future, hoping that this would be enough time for people to accept his amber eyes.
